HARVEST SERVICE 2011

St Margaret PCC has reconfirmed that it wishes to be a Fairtrade Church, St Johns at its last PCC said it would become a Fairtrade church.
What does it mean to become a Fairtrade Church?
Our Church councils have agreed to commit to:
❏ Use Fairtrade tea and coffee after services and for all meetings for which we have responsibility
❏ Move forward on using other Fairtrade products such as sugar, biscuits and fruit
❏ Promote Fairtrade during Fairtrade Fortnight and during the year through events, worship and other activities whenever possible
Both Churches will be registered as Fairtrade churches
Fairtrade products are available from the Co-Op and most other major supermarkets, unfortunately we will not be able to accept donations of products that are not Fairtrade.
Please click the Fairtrade logo for more information on Fairtrade and the work they do, and remember, even if it does cost a few pennies extra (it generally doesn't) those extra pennies will be going to change the life of poor people and particularly children of the world. The world may be a broken place but surely a few pennies to make just a little bit of difference in the world is worth it? It's also worth reading this article before you tuck into your next chocolcate bar.
